Privacy Policy
This site (shanegolding.net) is a personal, static website. It exists to share work and writing — nothing is sold, and no accounts can be created.
Information I collect
I do not operate any servers that collect personal data from visitors. The site runs as static files, and I do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party scripts that profile you.
If you send me email, I will naturally receive whatever information is in your message (your name, email address, and the contents). I use that only to reply, and I don't share it.
Cookies and local storage
The site does not set tracking cookies. The Snake demo on the home page stores a single high-score value in your browser's localStorage. That value stays on your device and is never transmitted. You can clear it at any time through your browser.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub, as the host, may log basic request information (such as IP addresses and user-agent strings) for security and abuse-prevention purposes. Those logs are governed by GitHub's own privacy policies.
Third-party fonts
The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches those files, Google may receive standard request metadata. If that's a concern, most browsers allow blocking third-party font requests.

Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
